Mariposa [CONTEST ENTRY]

I made her opal. Yay. I don't even know why I just said that.

And there's actually a pretty funny story about this contest entry that I want to tell you. I went to YouTube and saw that Mari is hosting an art contest. A concept popped into my head immediately, so I started drawing it and got sick. Did I mention the first thing took me 2 attempts? No, I did not. Anyways though, since I was sick and had to read a book for school I didn't have time and motivation. I wasn't feeling very confident about it anymore, so when we came back home I started making this drawing. I wanted to add pastel gore but before I actually managed to sketch it, I started to make lineart. Then I finished the lineart without even realizing that I forgot the pastel gore.
So I was just like:
SCREW IT. No one's gonna know until I write it in the description.
